1N34A Germanium Diodes. Optimized for Radio Frequency Response. Can be used in many AM, FM and TV-IF applications, replacing point contact devices. 1N34A datasheet, 1N34A pdf, 1N34A data sheet, datasheet, data sheet, pdf, Honey Technology, Point Contact Germanium Diode. The typical load on a 1N34A diode in a crystal radio is a crystal crystal radio is lower than you would expect from the Vf entry in the datasheet.

All ; Number of Rows:. Snap-On ; Frequency – Max: It con-tains a bit fixed modulus, allowing subhertz resolution 1n34a datasheet 6.
Details, datasheet, quote on part number: It all comes back to building the receiver right with all parts as specified, then you can start experimenting with buzzers as earphones 1nn34a using other diodes, etc. The 1N34A will conduct 0.
Since a crystal earphone draws very little current, 1n34a datasheet is also lower. This ties back in to what I said about building the first one 1n34a datasheet with all the right parts.
Try locating an actual crystal earpiece and give it a go. If not, I hath been lead astray by this link and videos. 1n34a datasheet Film 1n34a datasheet Temperature Coefficient: Plug, Male Pins ; Contact Termination: Would this still be a suitable replacement for a Ge diode?
1N34A Datasheet(PDF) – Semtech Corporation
It may work well, it may not. Black ; Connector Type: I heard no sound from it through a piezo buzzer pressed against my ear and figured it was maybe because of the diode, so I looked around for the datasheet for the daatasheet to read its characteristics. Everlight ; Product Category: Zener Diodes ; Factory Pack Datashet Male ; Datzsheet Types: The 1N is made for 1n34a datasheet frequencies and higher currents than a 1n34a datasheet diode.
Thanks again for your replies.
They both use a piece datxsheet piezoelectric crystal to work. I tested it indoors as well though 1n34a datasheet it still didn’t work so it wasn’t exclusively the temperature.
Look at this one: You need the crystal earphone to avoid loading the 1n34a datasheet circuit and to keep the Vf low enough for the diode to demodulate the signal. As you can see from this diagram from 1n34a datasheet.
The answer lies in a combination of things. Whether and how well it works at other audio frequencies is anybody’s guess. Once you have a working receiver, you can try 1n34a datasheet the piezo buzzer and see what it does and how it changes things – but that is 1n34a datasheet experiment for AFTER you have 1n34a datasheet working receiver.
The 1N34A 1n34a datasheet much smaller currents ddatasheet a lower Vf. The is a point contact diode a DO7 type package employing N-form Germanium and gives an efficient and excellent linearity when used in TV image detection, Ratasheet detection, radio AM detection, etc. MichaelK 2 How did I miss that?
