I’m actually not sure why I’m giving this a second star. They make the old cheri into a danger zone, a place of risk and death that the gas alone can’t manage so spectacularly. Slowly piece by piece, my other reviews or fragments of will be migrating across to my new website over here.

Welcome to The Functional Nerds! Remember I wrote that Boneshaker was all action action action? The bond between mother and son was a brittle, thin thing, but it was realistic for the characters and their history and the adventure of the novel definitely made them closer.

All Steampunk fans and anyone who likes to have fun while reading. She bonrshaker married to an inventor, Leviticus Blue, who built a machine that was supposed to impress the Russians with it’s gold-mining skill. Instead, he tunnelled under the city right into the banking district, causing whole sections of the city to cave in. Also, there was a 35 page block missing from my copy but I don’t think I missed a whole lot due to the aforementioned pacing issues. Something had to be done. I am not sure whether I will read the other volumes in this Clockwork Century series, but I am likely to read more of Cherie Priest’s novels. I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time, too. ppriest
