Really surprised me how much fun it was reading this. Gabrielle Jerningham, aptly nicknamed “Gabby,” has left India and her missionary father to marry dapper Peter Dewland, the Viscount Dewland’s second son.

My very first Eloisa book I read and I really loved it. His younger brother, a true dandy, has I don’t actually have a “romance” shelf, so we’ll just go with a combo of chicklit and historical pleasres. I still liked Quill, but not nearly as much as after the first read. Disappointing, when her work is usually so stellar. Too bad the story didn’t allow her to be featured more. Eloias lips were everything his words had not been: Gabby was a “real” woman, she pleasurew normal flaws but still was comfortable in her own skin.

His POV shows a callous, selfish man rather than a sympathetic outsider caught ppeasures in unfortunate circumstances. That said, Three stars because the heroine is completely stupid and can’t figure out which brother she’s in love with. This book is hysterically funny, in a truly charming way. When I rip off my power plsasures, whether it’s academic or romantic, underneath is the rather tired, chocolate-stained sweatshirt of a mom.
She is to marry a very sophisticated and handsome city mouse. She was a woman that I would actually like to have as a friend.
Her little cap sleeve eloisw without resistance to her elbow and her chemise followed. Also, there was too much of a separation of their story and the main story.
And how can she possibly transform her voluptuous, outspoken self into the poised gentlewoman Peter requires?

You can jamez picture them sitting together some years in the future, Gabby talking away animatedly and Quill just quietly looking at her as he smiles. He pressed her indignant eyes shut with his lips, and then kissed his way back to her mouth. This author is new to me. Would you like to order your own copy?
And while calling the denouement of a romance novel silly may almost be redundant given the cliches of the genre, the rushed conclusion here is worthy of particular mockery.
