The monster in this short story is dead from the start, washed up and rotting on a sunny beach.
Not sure why I was so hard on this one, it is way better than I made it sound then and it is easily a 4 star instead of 3. The two major problems I had with this book is that the chara Creepy images and an interesting mystery revolving around the strange happenings are at the heart of this tale of terror.

Don’t get me wrong, the story is fantastic, but this one relies more on the top-notch, realistic artwork and a lot of weird biologic extremes.
The fish with legs are heralded by a terrible stench, described by characters as being reminiscent of hot human corpses.
