This story was about a woman who is trying to dfl, and doesn’t let anyone or anything stand in her way to learn about the world around her, to love and care for those she loves and to dare to be as brave and strong as any man. Again, the depictions are not graphic.
Ayla’s journey made me very uncomfortable. I went to Enrichment a church women’s meeting about years ago, and they were having a book sharing activity. The story begins with an earthquake in the first few pages of the book that leaves a cavernaroo year old girl alone, orphaned and wandering, on the brink of death.

El Clan del Oso Cavernario
Most people felt that the last book was a cop out, I happened to find it a gentle conclusion after so many long years of waiting. I am so glad that there are quite a few more in the series as I have a feeling I am going to love the rest too, and I can’t wait to read them.
Ayla is just 5 years old when she loses her entire family and everyone she has ever known to a cave in caused by an earthquake. I assumed Broud would be deel love interest since he was a main character and guessed he and Ayla would have an enemies-to-lovers plot line or cln.
This story was a Wow! Ayla, of Note, March 25, I cagernario it because of this. Fans of fiction set in prehistoric times; fans of strong heroines. Clan of the Cave Bear [Jan 15, ].
I read it a long time ago, I guess I forgot about those. She manages to impart an incredible amount of information but it is done in such a way that I didn’t once feel bored when reading in fact I loved learning about the medicinal uses for plants, the tools they use and how they were made. If anything about the story bugged me, it would be the sudden departures into talking about mixing medicines. She is an inquisitive, logical tall and blond while her new family is survival oriented, ingrained, short and squat.
I got to learn so much in this book, my mind was bent to new depths–what would life be like living in a cave? You did everything you could to her, you even cursed her. Hearing that song would remind me that I needed to read the book. The ultimate in creative, imaginative story telling. View all 4 comments.
The series was one that I read out loud to my wife; it also became one of her all-time favorites, and she re-reads cavernwrio periodically on her own! I sobbed at the end of the book, not just because it was emotional, but I remember the sadness that I would never again be able to read this book with new eyes.

El Clan del Oso Cavernario by Jean M. Auel (5 star ratings)
But I kept dancing and didn’t. There is a lot more to it in there, and I found the book fascinating. Fortunately, we know she will survive, even without the help and comfort of the clan.
The long descriptions never come across as dry or boring, but instead leave me with more questions. This book transports you back before cars and computers, before women’s rights and civil rights, into a fantasy realm of what the world might have been like before the modern age.
No this book is not perfect and perhaps it might seem a bit immature in places to some readers, but in the long run, this will turn out to be one of the books that you may end up thinking of as a classic. Hmmm, I thought I’d proofread this And this book is full of unlovely things. View all 11 comments.
The descriptions are not graphic but some readers will be disturbed by the portrayal. Ayla’s story isn’t without struggle and difficulty, but it also contains strength and love and a ferocity that I absolutely adore.
She is proud, strong, very intelligent, and able to make leaps of logic that often get her into trouble with her adopted people.
